Via several emails correspondences from students of for-profit U.S. based schools
For-Profit schools are hiring scammers as teachers.

We are not naming the school nor school teachers as it has been shut down, and the students being taught wrong have won court-cases to get their money back. Several students got refunds from school that closed down.
Here's how to check your teacher:
1) Does your teacher have a thesis publicly available? All Masters and Doctorial degree graduates have their thesis publicly available. Why doesn't your teacher have one?
2) Does your teacher have a portfolio? It is disgusting that a concept art teacher doesn't have any. Yo can give your teacher some recognition, if your teacher is on credit list of published games.
3) Does your teacher know what he's teaching?, or droning away at the PowerPoint slide?
4) Does your school have a track record, or are they they overpromising?
5) If your school teaches a game development component, do check out your teachers. Are they really teaching you, or if you google their names, are they scammers who don't know this and that?
This blog will never apologize to the schools, nor to their teachers. For brevity, this blog did not name the three schools that closed down.
This blog took down posts about certain schools, and awaited for court decision for student refunds, and/or remedies, upon request from the students of those schools.
This blog did reply to several students and, to take the matters to lawyer where their school teacher or teachers did not teach them correctly, or were absent, or their deadlines came and went, without proper supervision.
For students of those schools, your best remedy is to take the school to court to recover your school fees, or live up to your (student debt).
For the scam teachers, you have time to mend your reputation.

This blog is pleased to report that, scams on the Unity3D community is on a mend, with, customers being less stupid.
Is it worth trading your career for years of regret?
Some advice for those looking to make games:
1) Look for the freelancer's business permit. This is an easy give-away. All of the scammers on this don't have any. Even after 5 years, still nothing.
2) Look for the freelancer's portfolio. Another easy give-away. All the scammers on this, don't have any. Some of them are banned of Art Station, Sketchfab for putting models on their portfolio, that they don't own.
3) Look for their track record and past history. Do they have problems, or are they constantly trolling the Unity forums looking for victims?
4) Stalking and harassment. What is the troll or scammer doing? Are they harassing their victims, telling them to shut-up, or constantly posting slander about them?
For some people, like (names redacted) some of them have been scamming from since 2011. Is it worth 10 years of their career progression to constantly scam and scam Unity3d?
Some of them are on a mend, they refunded their customers, their names were taken off this blog.
Some of them, became worse and worse, constantly harassing their customers, constantly finding new bait or suckers.

The Truebones truth blog documents certain alts falsely clicking on report video, report blog for no reason, harassing others non-stop for nearly four years. Civil action, police action from multiple individuals were made.
This blog serves to call into attention not to entertain them:
the artists mentioned on this blog - they have no portfolio and tricking others of their money.
since these artists are unskilled, they cause great anguish to those who employ or solicit their services. They never refund, or their customers get trolled.
Compare that to commercial blogs which lists down frauds never get taken down (Example - Sinclair ZX Vega+ funding)
Q. Does this blog make harassment for others?
A. This blog is used by Autodesk, Adobe to go after certain artists who employ artists and developers and don't pay salaries and using computers loaded with unlicensed software, or resell parts of Autodesk, Adobe intellectual property (See Truebones). Thus, taking this blog down removes evidences for Adobe, Autodesk.
Various companies whose intellectual properties were infringed, can see their IP stolen, and who committed it. So yeah, this blog is cited by various lawsuits as evidences.
This blog is also cited by Disney, Pixar, Warner Brothers and many others (Blue Estate Games), Korean game companies in their lawsuits. So this blog is a source of evidence of misdeeds done by certain artists and developers.
Q. Does this blog libel others?
A. Ask the dozens of customers who contacted 'artists' got featured on this blog. The insults, slurs, harassment they received for years and years -- is a tiny fraction of this blog's contents.
You can't sue others for stating or publishing the truth. In certain cases, hyperlinks to the abusive texts stated by these tricksters and con-artists are shown.
So go ahead - sue. These scammers cannot sue if it's true -- and this blog is careful to show evidences.
This blog celebrates it's second year anniversary. It has done much work to combat fraud, and bring spotlights to certain no-portfolio artists who prey on unsuspecting customers.

Name Removals
There is no longer any reason to post their names and links of their deeds, and hence, removed.
We have removed GM, CT, SPJ, JR, MS, BR, SL.
Also removed is TH, MY and two games. Those two games are dated 2012 and are covered in main-stream-media. There are hundreds of angry comments about those two games.
The above artists have shown remorse and have compensated their victims.
Michaelw352, has been going on rampage, harassing members of the Unreal forum. Then he fell from grace.
The UnrealEngine forums admins know it, that Michael has been making a game "Horizon" or Evil Horizon with Crusade Studio, formerly Prion-Games, Hidden-Blade, Eclision or whatever fake-game studio name he wants to call it (see this lengthy post).
Michaelw352 has been terrorizing other artists, asking them work for free (source), and if they don't, he would put them on the Unreal scam-list, until the Unreal moderators stepped in and remove his moderation status.
Many of his untrue, slander-posts were removed (formerly 1000+, to 800+, then 400+, then
300+, then 200+, then 100+, previously 67, previously 56, now 43). How
low will Michael's defamatory-posts-count go?
So Michaelw352, after so many years,
Where is your portfolio? Why are you asking artists to work for free, when you have no portfolio?
Why do you have fake LinkedIn profile where you worked 10 years, when you graduated from college 2 years ago? If you worked 10+ years, why are there no games, no apps to show for it?
Why contact employers of the artists you screwed over, warning them, when Michaelw352 has no portfolio. What right do you have to contact them?
This blog doesn't go around contacting employers of those artists - for the very reason that those employers, are hiring junior and interns, in physical locations, NOT, remote.
AND, this blog removes remorseful artists, those that have compensated their victims.

Michael, download Blender, LEARN it. get GIMP and if you have some money, like $20 a month, get Photoshop. If you can get $20 bux, use it to pay for your Photoshop subscription, and get yourself a Wacom tablet too.
What ****** this Micahel is, especially now 4+ years have passed since the original incidents happened in 2013, 2014 and the other artists have portfolios, things to show, while Michael has none.
A small update on how things are going with Livenda...
Althoug they claim on their website that "all updates are FREE and
regular", I have never once received any single update after the
original purchase.
Recently they advertised via e-mail "upgrade from V2.5 to V3 $60". Well I purchased that update.
And guess what I received... Absolutely nothing. Not download links,
nothing. And their customer support e-mail remains totally silent. At
least PayPal returned my money...

This thread is meant to enlighten the folks who can fall prey to frauds on the asset store and a clear indication of why you must research as much as possible before you buy an asset.
Also a strong suggeston to not rely on assets with facebook support and no forum thread.
I give this advice to everyone I know already, but this time I failed to practice what I preach because I was too excited about the asset.

When I downloaded the project the first thing I immediately did was to open up the shader code because I felt a certain amount of familiarity with the inspector parameter names on the shader.
This scam market-place does not pay its developers. They take your money, pirate the source-codes and assets, claim to advertise to market for you, and give you nothing.
